Yes. Especially if you’re an artist or student trying to get something off the ground.
I often work with groups of students who need quality footage for their showreels or digital CVs. One option that works really well is a collaborative evening where we film over three to four hours. Each person gets their own slot, ten to fifteen minutes or so, while the others take a breather, reset, or prep their next bit. Then we swap round. It keeps things affordable, low-pressure, and surprisingly productive. I’ve many a few sessions like this, and they’ve always been a great mix of useful and enjoyable. I’ve also run workshops focused on showreel creation, or just helped people with technical advice if that’s all they need.
I’ve got a long history in the arts, both here and internationally, and I’ve spent years supporting students in theatre, helping them build confidence creatively and technically. I know how hard it is to get started, especially when budgets are tight and the arts keep taking hits.
So if you’re in your first year or two of making work, feeling the squeeze, or thinking something like this might be out of reach, get in touch. I offer student and creative rates because I believe in backing people who are still finding their feet. And because creativity should never be priced out.
